I have to admit, I really tend to be more of a fan of a very tailored look, especially for work wear. But that’s just not realistic in this baby making season of life since pencil skirts don’t really fit right if you gain or lose 3 pounds. So as I entered into this stage of life, and am now in the thick of it, I had to rethink my “professional look” and figure out what would be less tailored (and more flexible and forgiving) but still feel like me.
Enter: the wrap dress
I had one wrap dress I really loved, and quickly realized that this fit the overall polished aesthetic that I really like, while also allowing a lot of flexibility. I actually wore the size small (my normal size) wrap dresses I had through 7 or 8 months of my pregnancy, and then again when I went back to work at 3 months postpartum. They’re so perfect for a fluctuating size because they so easily expand and contract by just tying looser or tighter, but still keep that polished look!
Since these are my new go to, I figured I’d put together a round-up of what I think are the best out there right now! Click the links below image to shop. Hope you enjoy!
*If bigger busted (or while pregnant) you might need to pin close at the bust if it doesn’t provide enough coverage for work.
One – We’ll go ahead and start with my favorite. I’m downright obsessed with this dress! You better believe I’ll be birdeye-ing it for a sale.
Two – Definitely a steal at this price! I haven’t tried myself so can’t speak to the quality, but the reviews are good so it seems worth a try. Comes in a million colors/patterns. I might have to snag one myself and test it out!
Three – Love this fun pattern! Loft always has sales running with discount codes so I’d wait for one of those and then snatch this cutie up!
Four – This one might now work for a more conservative workplace, but if you have a little flexibility I think this is so adorable!
Five – Such a great basic and amazing price! Love the dainty polka dots and the midi length.
Six – Another great price point, this time with a fun pattern!
Seven – I know this is out of most people’s price point (including mine!), but DVF is really the icon when it comes to wrap dresses, so I had to include just one. It’s on my splurge list for one day!

Shannon
