All working mamas have to face the day that they return to work and spend a lot less time with their new baby on a daily basis. As that time started to creep closer for me, I actually found myself looking forward to it in a way. Of course I wasn’t excited to leave my baby, but I enjoy what I do and was looking forward to some sense of normalcy and intellectual, adult conversations. All of that said, I knew I wanted to find a way to keep my baby “close” while I was away from him.
After thinking through a number of options, this is what I decided on:
Custom Name Ring: Etsy $29
(The other ring is my mama’s engagement ring.)
I absolutely love how this turned out and look down at it so much throughout the day. I think it would even look great stacked with another one someday (no time soon!).
Delicate Monogram Necklace: Anthropologie $38
The bar necklace (Etsy $49) I have this layered with has the coordinates of the point we got married on in St Thomas, which is another one of my everyday favorites because it reminds me of the other best day of my life, and our favorite place where we met, fell in love, got engaged and got married.
